Chrome OS version 20 launches with support for Google Drive and offline Google Docs

We previously reported in April that Google Drive will soon be integrated into Google’s Chrome OS. Today, Google is happy to announce the arrival of Chrome 20 to the stable channel for Chrome OS. The new version brings a myriad of new features as well as a few stability and security updates. The updates include the already-expected support for Google Drive, offline support for Google Docs, and updates to Pepper Flash.

Additionally, the update also adds a firmware update to Chromebook Series 5 550 and a redesigned UI for Cr-48 laptops. Chrome OS users could also find the update nifty as it also switches the touchpad drivers of Cr-48s for open-source versions. “The Stable channel has been updated to 20.0.1322.54 (Platform version: 2268.105.0) for Chromebooks (Acer AC700, Samsung Series 5, Samsung Chromebook Series 5 550, and Samsung Chromebox Series 3, and Cr-48). Machines will be receiving updates to this version over the next several days,” the team behind Google Chrome said.
