Simulate the next-gen iPhone’s rumored display with this tweak

The rumors are running rampant regarding Apple’s next-gen iPhone which is rumored to be announced in September. One of its alleged features includes a 4” display with a resolution of 640×1136, making the phone “taller” than it is “wider”. Of course it remains to be seen if these rumors pan out but if you’re curious as to whether this new display is suitable for you, and you’re tired of looking at renderings and mock ups, there is a “hack” that lets you simulate the rumored display resolution of the upcoming iPhone. It requires you to download Apple’s developer tools and follow a set of instructions to simulate a 640×1136 iOS screen on your computer. If you’re interested in giving it a go, pop on over to Cedric Luthi’s website for the instructions on how to do so.
