3 million Samsung Galaxy Note 2 sold in little over a month

We’re sure that many thought that the original Galaxy Note was a novelty device when it first launched. After all the device seemed a little too big for a handset, but yet too small for a tablet, leading many to dub it a “phablet”. As it turns out the Galaxy Note held its own, leading competitors like LG to come up with their own phablet, the Optimus Vu. Well Samsung recently launched the Note’s successor, the Galaxy Note 2 and if you think that phablets are still novelties, perhaps some sales figures might change your mind. According to Samsung, it seems that the South Korean company has managed to sell a pretty impressive 3 million units of the Galaxy Note 2 a little over a month since its launch. Samsung claims it took them 37 days to hit that figure and we expect that Samsung will go on to sell many more, and possibly dominate their rivals, LG and HTC, both of whom have launched “phablets” of their own recently as well.
