Sprint To Offer Windows Phone 8 Devices From Samsung And HTC

Gee, that was fast. Sprint was previously caught displaying a support page that seemed to hint the debut of Windows Phone 8. However, we were left with no word from the carrier whether or not Microsoft’s mobile OS is indeed coming. This afternoon is a different story, as we are hearing from Sprint that it will be offering two new devices running Windows Phone 8 – one from Samsung and the other from HTC. Albeit this is a milestone for Sprint, the details of the two devices remain hidden, at least for now.

Sprint is assuring us though that the details of the two devices, including the pricing and availability, will be announced soon. “We’re looking forward to bringing two new Windows Phone 8 devices by Samsung and HTC to market with Sprint this summer, adding to our strong Windows Phone 8 portfolio,” said Terry Myerson, Corporate Vice President of the Windows Phone Division. “These devices, coupled with Sprint’s unlimited 4G LTE data experience, will make it easy for Windows Phone 8 customers to have the most personal smartphone experience possible, wherever they are.”
