Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update Announced For Verizon Galaxy Nexus

 

Good news today for Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners. Verizon has announced that it will be rolling out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for its Galaxy Nexus. This particular Android version was announced by Google in October last year and its roll out began in November. It has taken Verizon approximately five months to bring this update for their Galaxy Nexus users. Starting today the Android 4.2.2 update will be rolled out in phases to Verizon Galaxy Nexus users.

Android 4.2.2 has a number of new features. The camera app has been greatly improved and allows improved customization of pictures. Users can take beautiful 360 degree panoramas with Photosphere. The highlight of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean has to be the new Gesture Keyboard. It offers a new and improved typing experience, all users have to do to type a word is to slide their finger from letter to letter. Users also have the option of placing widgets on the lock screen, thus allowing easy access to essential apps such as Calendar and Gmail. Verizon Galaxy Nexus users will no doubt be overjoyed with this news, who doesn’t love a new software update?
