VEA Buddy Watch

There are whispers of a new timepiece from Apple over the past few months, where many have already dubbed it as the iWatch. Well, a company known as VEA Buddy must have taken cue from rumors of an iWatch to launch a pre-emptive strike, if you could call it that, with what they tout as the “most advanced wristwatch ever designed.” Is that so? I do doubt the authenticity of such a claim, as it mentions wristwatch and not smartwatch, and surely those super precise timepieces from the Swiss masters are a whole lot more advanced?

Well, the Buddy watch, as VEA Buddy calls it, comes with just one button. Yes, you read that right, just a solitary button to get the job done, where it measures just 8mm thin while holding a 2” color touchscreen display. Not only that, there are also large and visible icons, in addition to 8GB of internal memory and a battery life that can last for up to 10 days. The Buddy will play nice with other Bluetooth-enabled smartphones, where it will answer calls, display notifications from email/text/calendar/Twitter/Facebook while playing back music and videos, although I think you would much rather watch videos on your smartphone instead. The Buddy will go for $150 as it ships in June, assuming enough funds are raised on the Indiegogo site first.
