Burner App Brings Disposable Phone Numbers For Android Users

Burner is a popular app for the iPhone, it provides users with disposable phone numbers that they can use to make calls or send text messages or receive calls, texts and voicemails. The app comes in handy when the user might want to protect their identity. Surely one can think of the app being used for wrongful purposes as well, but there are advantages. It all depends upon the user. Burner has been available for iPhone for quite a while, today it was finally released for Android.

Burner for Android comes with one free disposable number which can be used for a five minute call or 15 text messages. The number is valid for one day only. When it expires, users can either choose to extend its life or buy additional new numbers via in-app purchases. The base price plan for a disposable number is of $2 which offers a week’s validity, 60 text messages and 20 minutes of calling. It is available for download via Google Play Store. User comments indicate that Burner’s servers are swamped at the moment, probably due to the large influx of new users. Connectivity problems are being reported as of now, they’ll clear up as soon as the initial frenzy subsides.
