Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (10.1) Might Be Intel-Powered

samsung-galaxy-tab-2-10.1-640x455So far Samsung’s Android tablets have been powered by chipsets based on the ARM design, and with tablets like the Galaxy Tab 3 (7.0) announced and with the Galaxy Tab 3 (8.0) rumored to be in the works, and based on Samsung’s history, we can only imagine that a Galaxy Tab 3 (10.1) might be in the pipeline as well. Thanks to a GFX Benchmark test, the Galaxy Tab 3 (10.1) might have been revealed with its model number GT-P5200 and interestingly, the tablet appears to be powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 Clover Trail+ processor clocked at 1.6GHz.

Considering that the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) was given the model number GT-P5100, it would make sense that the GT-P5200 would be the next-gen tablet. In any case neither the Galaxy Tab 3 (8.0) or the Galaxy Tab 3 (10.1) have been officially announced, and we’re not sure when the announcement would be either, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info. In the meantime what do you guys think about an Intel-powered Android tablet from Samsung? Yay or nay?
