Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue Announced

mediapad7vogueHuawei, who recently claimed that they intend to knock Apple off their perch (I am quite sure that they received their fair share of laughs and sniggers along the way after making that claim), has just announced the Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue, which happens to be a 7” Android-powered tablet which was first spotted in March earlier this year, courtesy of a DLNA certification/leak combination that more or less gave away the game for the tablet. Having experienced an official announcement today, the Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue would come with a 7” touchscreen display at 1024×600 resolution, a 0.3-megapixel camera in front and a 3-megapixel camera at the back, a quad-core 1.2GHz Huawei K3V2 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot and a 4,100mAh battery to keep things going.

Expect Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to run proceedings from within the MediaPad 7 Vogue, and it will be accompanied by Huawei’s custom Emotion UI 1.5 software. Not only that, an integrated receiver in the MediaPad 7 Vogue allows it to support voice calls, SMS and MMS functionality. [Press Release]
