It wasn’t too long ago that we heard that Samsung had plans to release a new Android-powered clamshell phone called the Galaxy Folder, also known by its model number the SHV-E400K. While clamshell phones aren’t exactly the “in” thing right now, they are pretty nostalgic although it seems that the Galaxy Folder will most likely be released either in China or South Korea, meaning that those of us living stateside will need to seek the device through grey market imports.

In any case thanks to a user manual found on the Samsung website, the specifications of the Galaxy Folder have been confirmed, and unsurprisingly this is not the most powerful Android handset we’ve seen from Samsung. The user manual confirms a 1.7GHz dual-core processor of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 variety along with 2GB of RAM. It will sport two AMOLED displays that are 3.67” in size and will feature a WVGA resolution.

The upside to the phone despite its somewhat low-end specs, is that it will support LTE alongside Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC, possibly making this an affordable LTE Android handset.
