Samsung Hennessy Android Flip Phone Is Official

samsung-hennessyWe’ve been hearing a bit about Samsung possibly launching an Android flip phone, which in all honesty is a bit of an odd choice given that customers are making a big deal about screen sizes these days. Well we’ve seen photos leaked, and possible names such as the Samsung Galaxy Golden and Galaxy Folder were suggested. The good news is that if you’ve always wanted an Android flip phone, Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Hennessy, which as you can see pictured above looks the same as the previously leaked photos.

The device goes by the model number W789 and was revealed on Samsung’s Chinese website. According to the specs, it will feature a pair of 3.3” 320×480 touchscreen displays with a 1.2GHz quad-core chipset under the hood. It will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and on the front of the phone, it will also sport a trio of capacitive buttons which can typically be found on regular Android devices. It will come with a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 1,500mAh battery, a microSD card slot, and dual-SIM support for GSM and CDMA radios.
