According to Sony, the HT-ST7 is expected to provide an “immersive true 7.1 home theater experience”. The soundbar will support Bluetooth connectivity meaning that you will be able to pair Bluetooth devices with it, such as smartphones or tablets. It will also play nicely with NFC devices which we imagine was designed with some of Sony’s Xperia smartphones in mind. The soundbar will feature an aluminum casing and will sport nine independent speaker drivers, seven discrete amplifiers, along with the use of magnetic fluid speakers and S-Master Digital Amplifiers, with audio processing done by Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoders.
The Sony HT-ST7 is now on sale in the US via Sony retail stores and other electronic retailers.
