BlackBerry Z30 Natural Sound Will Arrive On Other Devices In The OS 10.2 Update

bbz30One of the features of the recently announced BlackBerry Z30 is called Natural Sound, which essentially allows a more “natural sound” recreation. In any case we’re sure some of you guys might be wondering if this is merely a software feature, like how HTC had integrated Beats technology into their products, which could then be emulated by other products by downloading the software, or if it was a hardware feature, like how Touch ID on the iPhone 5s is exclusive to the device (at least for now). Well it turns out that it is a bit of both, but the good news is that come BlackBerry OS 10.2, BlackBerry will be bringing Natural Sound to the rest of their BlackBerry 10 lineup, which includes the BlackBerry Z10, Q10, and the Q5.

However it should be noted that the BlackBerry Z30 comes with stereo speakers and four microphones that have been integrated and tuned specifically for the Natural Sound software, so it is more than likely that Natural Sound on the Z30 will work better compared to other BlackBerry 10 phones. At the same time we guess it’s not a bad thing that other devices are getting an audio boost of sorts, but just don’t expect the same listening experience. No word on when OS 10.2 will be released, but it was reported last month that October could be a likely candidate.
