U.S. Cellular And Other Regional Carriers To Sell The iPad Air

Earlier this week Apple announced the iPad Air, its brand new tablet that’s thinner and lighter than all of its predecessors. Apple will begin selling the new tablet on November 1st online and through its retail stores in select locations around the world. This time around, T-Mobile is also offering the new iPad with cellular support and it appears that that’s just one part of Apple’s broader roll out on cellular network. U.S. Cellular and a number of other regional carriers have announced that they’ll all be selling the iPad Air.

Out of the bunch, U.S. Cellular is actually the only one that has confirmed that it will also be selling the new iPad mini with Retina display. Though it is not known when that will happen, seeing as how even Apple hasn’t provided a concrete release date for the Retina display touting iPad mini as yet. The iPad Air will be available from U.S. Cellular come November 8th. Regional carriers such as C Spire and Bluegrass Cellular both say that they’ll begin selling the tablet in the coming weeks. While regional carriers aren’t big enough to contribute a significant bump in Apple’s balance sheets, its a good move on the company’s part to ensure that they have as many carriers onboard as they can, both regional and national.
