AT&T Next Adoption Exceeding Company’s Expectations

AT&T Next was announced earlier this year as a way for AT&T subscribers to be able to upgrade their devices at least once a year. It seems the new plan can be considered a success as the company’s CEO Ralph de la Vega.

Vega recently spoke at an investor conference where he said AT&T Next is exceeding the company’s expectations for its adoption rate amongst their customers. Vega projected a total of 10 percent of its customers would sign up for AT&T Next within the fourth quarter.

AT&T Next makes it possible for AT&T customers to upgrade to a completely new device after just a year of owning it, and even allows customers purchase a smartphone for no money down to instead opt in on paying a little bit more on their monthly bills. Customers are still paying for subsidized prices for their device, regardless if they pay it all at once or over a long period of time.

Judging by Vega’s comments, it seems more of you prefer to pay for your subsidized devices over a long period of time, which we can’t fault you for. 10 percent of all of AT&T’s customers seems like a bit of a stretch, although Vega’s confidence is certainly apparent.
