Meizu To Share European Expansion Details At MWC 2014

meizu-mx3The US market is a market that many companies are hoping to break into, and Meizu is one of them. The company announced last month that they were planning a big push into the US, but it looks like the US market is not the only market they have their sights on. According to the company, it seems that they are looking to make an entrance into the European market as well and will be announcing their plans to do so at MWC 2014 which will be taking place in the later part of February. According to Sierra Ma, Meizu’s head of international business, the company will officially announce which countries in Europe they will be officially entering, and on top of that will attempt to edge out the competition like Samsung by making their handsets 30% cheaper.

The kick things off, the Meizu MX3 will be one of the phones the company will be bringing to the US. The handset packs a 5.1” display with an odd resolution of 1800×1080 and will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 5 processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP camera, and will run on Meizu’s custom Android UI. However it is also expected that Meizu could introduce a much higher-end model, one with a display that will offer over 500PPI, joining the likes of manufacturers such as Oppo and Vivo, both of whom have announced devices with 2K resolution displays as well. Either way if you love what Meizu has been doing and were hoping you could get your hands on their products in Europe, it looks like 2014 will be your chance to do so.
