NVIDIA Tegra K1 Tablet Benchmark Surfaces

Last month, NVIDIA finally lifted the wraps off of its next generation chip, the 192-core “Super Chip” that we now know as the Tegra K1. It impressive to say the least, we brand it as the final unification of PC and mobile graphics, touting full Open GL 4.4 API driving the PCs of today.

The Tegra K1 happens to be 3X faster than existing competitors, and that’s bound to show in devices that end up being powered by said chip. An NVIDIA Tegra K1 tablet benchmark has surfaced online, and while its authenticity can not be confirmed, the Tegra Note P1761 prototype does seem to pack a mean punch.

As per the information obtained from this AnTuTu benchmark result, the Tegra Note P1761 tablet runs the Tegra K1 chip at 2.1GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The display size isn’t known, but benchmark lists it as having a 1,920×1,200 pixel resolution display.

The benchmark results might be appealing, but it will still take some time before consumer electronics powered by this chip hit the market. Its not known right now exactly when this tablet is going to be released, but existing Tegra Note owners will definitely be interested in this one once it comes out.
