Boost And Virgin Mobile To Offer Galaxy S5

Previously it used to take a lot of time for premium smartphones to make their way to prepaid carriers. Those carriers usually had low-end or mid-range phones on offer, and not premium phones the kind customers would find on major national carriers such as Verizon and AT&T. Though things have been shaken up a bit in the past year with more such devices landing at prepaid carriers. The Galaxy S5 is one of the biggest flagships of this year, and it has already been revealed that Samsung’s latest smartphone is going to make its way to Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile soon after launch.

At its Unpacked 5 event, Samsung revealed that the Galaxy S5 will be released in over a 100 countries on April 11. All of the four major U.S. carriers will offer the smartphone to their customers when it finally launches, though the price they’ll be offering hasn’t be disclosed just yet.

Since it has already been confirmed that the Galaxy S5 is coming to Boost and Virgin Mobile in the second quarter, which sits around the time of its launch, all that remains to be known now is the price. The prepaid carriers haven’t given any hints as yet, but one can expect the flagship to come at a premium.
