International LG G2 Android 4.4.2 Update Released

LG-G2-Unboxing--13

It has been a while since LG released the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for LG G2 owners in Korea, the update was released there back in December. AT&T users in the U.S. received said update last month. Users with the international LG G2 variant have been waiting for a long, long time and it has finally ended. The company has released the international LG G2 Android 4.4.2 KitKat update today.

Since the update is rolled out in stages, it may take a few days to become available across all regions. Once it does, a notification will pop up on the device itself informing the user that an over-the-air update is available and ready for download. One can also try manually searching for the update through the Settings application.

The update is expected to bring a slightly tweaked user interface. This includes restyled status and navigation bars, a new full screen mode as well as improved support for closed captioning and enhanced security. LG’s Knock On feature is more responsive after the update, and software tweaks also enable apps to run up to 17 percent faster than before. Battery optimizations aid users to squeeze out the best possible performance.

As mentioned before, the update may not be immediately available for all international LG G2 owners, so a little patience will certainly go a long way.
