samsung-galaxy-s3-review-26

Ever since Android 4.4 KitKat was released there has been an endless debate about whether or not the original Samsung Galaxy S3 is going to receive this update. We know for sure now that Samsung has no plans of releasing said update for Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 as the device has reached the end of its 18-month support period. That doesn’t mean other variants of this smartphone have been hung out to dry as well. Today the international LTE variant receives the update.

The Galaxy S3 LTE GT-I9305N Android 4.4 update release was first spotted in the Nordic region. It bumps up the smartphone’s software version to I9305NXXUFNI4. Owners of this device have no doubt been patiently waiting for KitKat to drop. They’ll appreciate that Samsung is taking them directly to Android 4.4.4 as this may very well be the latest major update for this particular model.

Everything that’s included in Android 4.4 KitKat will now be present on the Galaxy S3 LTE GT-I9305N. Some salient features include updated Samsung apps, white status bar icons, faster performance, reduced memory consumption, support for wireless printing as well as stability improvements and bug fixes.

Even though the software has been rolled out it will take some time before it goes live across all regions so that anyone and everyone with a Galaxy S3 LTE GT-I9305N can hop on the KitKat bandwagon. If you haven’t received an update notification as yet be patient as it should be arriving shortly.
