Now the good news is that if you were eyeing a brand new PlayStation 4 console and you refuse to pay the exorbitant prices that sellers are asking for the PlayStation 4 on websites like eBay, you might be pleased to learn that supply of the console should ease up closer to summer.
This is according to PlayStation boss, Andrew House, during an interview with The Wall Street Journal. According to House, “We’re struggling to keep up with demand. Conservatively, as we get into the early summer months, we’ll be closer to a full supply situation.”
However we should note that House did use the term “conservatively”, meaning that there is no guarantee that Sony will be able keep up with demand for the console, although they will probably be doing their best.
It does appear that for now, the PlayStation 4 is proving to be a hotter affair than the Microsoft Xbox One, although Microsoft does not appear to be too fazed by it. In fact in a recent interview, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of Europe, Phil Harrison, stated that this is a marathon and not a sprint, meaning that despite Sony’s lead at the moment, a clear and final winner has yet to be determined.
