Xperia Z2 Launch Delay Could Be Due To Supplier Issues (Rumor)

Sony-Xperia-Z2-04The Sony Xperia Z2 which we did spend some time with at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, is back in the spotlight again. Apparently, the launch of this particular smartphone has been touted to be delayed, attributing this setback to manufacturing issues, at least according to a certain milukugiuniu from the Esato forum. The Esato forum has shown itself to be a credible source of Sony-related info previously, so a grain of salt would make do this time around.

According to the poster on the Esato forum, this particular delay is due to a supplier that is not Qualcomm, where this particular global issue will most probably cause Sony to launch the Xperia Z2 in limited quantities, with mass unit availability pushed back for obvious reasons. Should this particular rumor end up to be true, then it could point to the Xperia Z2 actually hitting the market after the Samsung Galaxy S5 and possibly, the HTC One (2014) as well.

Could Europe be an exception to the delay? Just in case you cannot get enough of the Xperia Z2, check out how its speakers stack up against its predecessor, the Xperia Z1. We do hope that whatever rumors that surround the Xperia Z2 will be put to bed soon.
