International Huawei Ascend P6 To Receive KitKat Update This June

It was in November last year that we brought you word of the Huawei Ascend P6 smartphone being about to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update, and here we are with word that this coming June, the international version of the Huawei Ascend P6 will receive said update. Granted, the Ascend P6 was not exactly the flagship model for Huawei in 2013, but then again, it did achieve some impressive sales figures outside of China, thanks to its pocket-friendly price tag as well as a slim design that sits well with just about anyone.

Apparently, not only the international version of the Huawei Ascend P6, but local versions of the handset in China, too, have yet to receive the so-called Android 4.4 KitKat update as announced in November last year. It is already the middle of May, and nothing has happened. Hopefully the alleged June release date will eventually come to fruition, otherwise it might be better to just settle for the Huawei Ascend P7 that, surprise surprise, already comes with Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box, don’t you think so?

However, for those of you who already own the Ascend P6, all that you can do now is sit tight and keep your fingers crossed.
