Back in December last year Netflix and Sony Pictures Television announced that the Breaking Bad spinoff “Better Call Saul” will be launched on the online streaming website exclusively for its subscribers in Europe and Latin America in 2014, after having aired on AMC in the U.S. AMC, the network behind Breaking Bad, has now delayed the release of this prequel until 2015. As a result its launch on Netflix has also been pushed by one year.

Its not all bad news though. AMC has also confirmed that it has renewed Better Call Saul for a second season. The network may have faith in the series given that its first season hasn’t even aired yet, so there’s really no way to judge how the public is going to receive it. However given Breaking Bad’s popularity, Better Call Saul is bound to attract interest from most of them.

The series stars Bob Odenkirk in the lead as Saul Goodman. Cameo appearances from main Breaking Bad characters Walter White and Jesse Pinkman are also expected. The first season will consist of ten episodes, the second will have a total of 13. Better Call Saul will be available for streaming on Netflix in the U.S. and Canada immediately after the season ends its run on AMC.

Breaking Bad fans will certainly have high expectations from this spinoff so the network would certainly want to take its time to make sure that everything is up to the mark.
