Many had understandably expected Samsung to incorporate a 64-bit chipset into its Galaxy S5 but that did not turn out to be the case. Does that mean we can expect it in the Galaxy Note 4? Well that really remains to be seen, but if the benchmarks are thing to go by, it looks like Samsung’s first 64-bit smartphone could be a low-mid range device.
A certain Samsung handset has been spotted on GFXBench and according to the benchmark, the handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset. The Snapdragon 410, for those unfamiliar, is a low-cost 64-bit chipset developed by Qualcomm last year. While it isn’t the most powerful of chipsets, it is expected to support hardware such as 13MP cameras, 4G LTE, and even 1080p Full HD video playback.
The benchmarks go on to reveal that the phone will come with a 4.8-inch qHD display, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of onboard storage, which as you can tell doesn’t exactly scream high-end. Now we’re not sure if this will be Samsung’s first 64-bit smartphone, but it is the only one that we’ve seen so far, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information.
