Mysterious Twitch Benefactor Donates Thousands Of Dollars To Gamers

Twitch is an interesting phenomenon because why would anyone spend hours watching someone else play a game when they could be playing it themselves? Also why would anyone pay to watch someone play a game when the money could be spent buying the game for themselves? However if the rise in popularity of Twitch is any indication, yes, there seems to be a demand for it.

That being said, it seems that a mysterious Twitch viewer who goes by the handle “Amhai” has been making the rounds and donating thousands of dollars to his/her favorite Twitch streamers on a weekly basis. The donations started out small where Amhai would donate $1,000 to $5,000 here and there.

However according to reports from more popular Twitch streamers like Isaac “Azael” Cummings-Bentley and Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris, they have found themselves receiving donations from Amhai in the $10,000 region several times a week! Yikes! That’s more than what most people would make in a month, or a couple of months even!

No one knows who he is, save for Cummings-Bentley who claims to have befriended Amhai. “I don’t think he really wants anything said about him. He is just a very, very wealthy individual.” So if you thought streaming Twitch was a waste of time, perhaps you’ll want to rethink that and who knows? Perhaps you will get the attention of Amhai.
