AT&T’s John Stankey has shared that the mobile carrier will offer its very own Multicast service in due time – with a 2015 schedule looming as at press time. Of course, AT&T’s LTE Multicast service will be launched first in areas where AT&T is able to get things up and running as soon as possible, and in due time, the provider ought to expand it accordingly, moving in tandem with technology and its content partners.
Other information remains scant as at press time, but do expect to fork out some money to enjoy interruption-free media. Hopefully there will be something new on Multicast instead of being a duplicate of what current TV or radio put up.
