Google Play Store With Material Design Screenshots Leaked

ps_md_1We expect that in the coming weeks or months that Google will be releasing the next major update to Android – Android L. The update will bring about a host of changes and new features that Google will be introducing to the Android operating system, as well as introduce a new design language called “Material Design” that Google will be implementing across the platform.

Now we’ve seen Google slowly introduce the design to some of their apps such as Chrome, and now thanks to the folks at Android Police, they have managed to get their hands on what appears to be screenshots of the Material Design language being applied to the Google Play Store as well.

However Android Police notes that the screenshots do not depict the final changes yet as they state that there are some visual aspects that are missing, but it is likely that they will be added in the final release. The changes Google has made aren’t particularly drastic, but they do draw from a new color palette which appears to brighter and more vivid than its predecessor.

The new design also sports a larger toolbar with re-colored buttons and accents. So far we have to say we like what we see, but what say you? Are you digging the new Material Design makeover?
