Windows 10 Is Next Microsoft Windows Version Name

windows10Forget everything that you have heard about Windows 9 – that is not going to be the next version of Microsoft’s Windows operating system, as it looks as though Microsoft has decided to skip a number and go straight for Windows 10. Could they be looking at working with even numbers only? Who knows? One thing is for sure though, there will be no Windows 9 or “Threshold”.

Windows 10 looks set to be a single operating system that will not differentiate between the likes of smartphones, tablets, desktops, and laptops – I suppose you can say that this is an all-in-one operating system that will bring a slew of devices together.

Right now, Microsoft does offer software specific to certain platforms, and it looks as though with the advent of Windows 10, we will be able to see a culmination in the effort to bring about the Windows Phone, Windows RT, Windows, and the Xbox operating system closer together. Windows 10 will also see a solitary Windows Store made available to the masses, where it sports apps which will run on all Windows 10-powered hardware – regardless of whether they are mobile or stationary.

Needless to say, Windows 10 will feature different looks when it is on a desktop compared to a tablet to increase functionality, and for many, they will most probably be happy to hear that the Charms Menu is not going to survive the cull. A full launch of Windows 10 is tipped to happen some time next year.
