Well Samsung is hoping to prove the doubters wrong. The South Korean tech giant has recently announced that they would be teaming up with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his production company, in which a short film will be shot in its entirety using none other than the Samsung NX1 camera.
This isn’t the first time films or TV shows have been shot entirely using such cameras (one of the episodes of House was shot using the Canon EOS 5D MK II), but given the NX1’s recent release, it would be a great way to put the camera to the test. Samsung is boasting that the camera’s features such as Cinema 4K and UHD video recording along with the built-in HEVC H.265 codec makes it a great device to shoot on.
The short film will be dubbed “In a City” and will “take to the streets of cities across the world to explore the rhythm of daily life for the people who live there, capturing the experiences and interactions that give each city its unique character” Sounds interesting, but do you think the Samsung NX1 will be up for the job?
