Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Release Date For U.S. Confirmed

At IFA 2014 Samsung unveiled two new smartphones, the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge. According to Samsung the latter is a “limited edition” device and it will only be released in select markets. Galaxy Note Edge has been available in Japan and South Korea for quite some time now and even though we knew that carriers in the U.S. will sell it at some point, we never knew exactly when that’ll happen. Well, we do have that information now.

Today it has been formally confirmed that carriers in the U.S. will release Samsung Galaxy Note Edge on November 14th. This includes all four big carriers, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile as well as U.S. Cellular.

With a 5.6-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display that’s curved on one side the Galaxy Note Edge brings many of the features that one would find in the Galaxy Note 4, including the 16 megapixel rear camera with OIS and 8x digital zoom.

Not all carriers have confirmed their pricing as yet but from those who have revealed this information it looks like Galaxy Note Edge isn’t going to be cheap. With a new two year contract the device is $399.99 on AT&T. The carrier’s Next plan offers it for $0 down with equal monthly installments of $39.42 for 18 months and $47.30 for 12 months.

On Sprint customers can opt for the Galaxy Note Edge on the Easy Pay plan on which the device costs $35 in equal installments over 24 months with $0 down.

This smartphone will also be available from Samsung Experience Shops within Best Buy locations across the country, retail partners will determine specific pricing.
