Nexus 4 Dialer Experiencing Issues Post-Android 5.0 Update

Google Nexus 4 ReviewNow we’re sure that when Android 5.0 Lollipop was released to the public, many Nexus 4 owners were probably eager to update their handset to the latest build of Android. However while the update brought about a host of changes to their phones, including Google’s new Material Design language, it seems that it brought several issues as well.

According to a smattering of reports, it seems that Android 5.0 for the Nexus 4 has caused users some problems with their dialer. The dialer still works, for the most part, but apparently it now takes as long as 3-4 seconds for the dialer to launch, and in some cases calls fail to go through as a result of the lag.

It is unclear if this is a widespread issue or just limited to a handful of Nexus 4 owners, but based on the growing list of complaints, it could be the former. Google has yet to officially acknowledge the problem either, but hopefully this is something that Google will take a look at ASAP. After all what good is a phone if you can’t even make calls with it, right?

That being said, any of our readers out there with Nexus 4 handsets experiencing similar issues themselves after the Android 5.0 update? Let us know in the comments below!
