Alcatel To Sell Devices Straight To US Consumers

alcatel-pop-2[CES 2015] It seems that Alcatel is not only content to introduce several new additions to their lineup to the masses over at this year’s CES, such as the Alcatel OneTouch watch and OneTouch POP family of smartphones, it has been announced as well that these devices will be sold straight to consumers over in the US – with the use of e-commerce channels, of course. Alcatel intends to sell these smartphones unlocked, alongside tablets and accessories via www.alcatelonetouch.us.

As for those who happen to live in Canada, fret not – there will be a Canadian site that is set up consumers later this quarter. This particular step is not unprecedented, as Alcatel did move in a similar direction in November last year when it introduced shop.alcatelonetouch.com for the likes of Spain, UK, France, Italy, Germany. That particular site peddles accessories, and it will see further expansion to other European countries down the road.

Some of the initial unlocked devices to make its way to the US will be the 5-inch Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+”, the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2 S and the Alcatel OneTouch Pop 8 tablet, where they will be priced at $275, $198 and $199.99, respectively. Oh yeah, not forgetting the Alcatel OneTouch Pop 7 tablet as well that is going for $149.
