Kiko’s Thinking Time Is An App Designed To Help Develop Preschoolers’ Brains

Back in the day before smartphones and tablets existed, the way parents taught kids how to entertain and educate themselves was through actual physical toys and books. However given that we’re now in the modern age, kids these days are toting smartphones and tablets like it’s a common thing.

Well if you’re a parent looking to raise their kids on electronics, why not try to make a little educational? Kiko Labs has recently released an app called Kiko’s Thinking Time. This is an app designed for the iPad which is meant to help preschoolers learn new thing. The app will feature free daily training lessons designed for children aged 3-7.

Parents who want to access all 10 games and get a new game every month will have to pay a subscription fee of $8 a month, or $50 for the entire year. The games are dynamic in the sense that they will get harder the better the child gets at it, meaning that children will continue to keep challenging and pushing themselves.

According to Jenny Thomson, a neuroscientist and former associate professor at Harvard. “Kiko’s Thinking Time gives kids training wheels to practice critical skills like working memory and reasoning. It does this by providing a structured environment and by designing progression in a rigorous, hierarchical way.”

The app is currently only available on the iPad but its developers are working on bringing it onto Android and Chromebook devices in the future.
