630,000 Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Units Have Reportedly Been Sold To Date

Samsung-galaxy-Note-4-edge-02Last year Samsung took the wraps off the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. It is an interesting device that features a curved display at one side, providing the user with a separate menu that changes depending on what you need it to be. It was an intriguing concept but we have to admit that maybe it’s not for everyone.

However as it turns out, sales of the Galaxy Note Edge have been pretty good. According to Korean publication Dt (via PhoneArena), they have reported that Samsung has managed to sell 630,000 Galaxy Note Edge handsets since its release, which if you want to compare it to the Galaxy S-series or Galaxy Note-series isn’t a lot.

But when you think about the fact that the Galaxy Note Edge is more of an experiment and a proof-of-concept, the 630,000 units sold is actually pretty impressive. Obviously Samsung has been tracking their own sales and presumably the good feedback they have received from their customers could have been what prompted the creation of the rumored Galaxy S Edge.

In any case it remains to be seen if Samsung will actually create another similar-ish device, but the teaser in Samsung’s MWC 2015 invite seems to suggest that we could be looking forward to a device with a curved display. Either way do check back with us then for the details.
