Nexus 5 Reappears In The Google Play Store

nexus 5 stockThe Nexus 5 was launched in 2013 and was pretty much the last Nexus phone sold by Google to be subsidized by the company. It also featured a rather sleek design and somewhat impressive specs for back in the day, although today its specs would more or less make it a mid-range device.

That being said if you’re not too happy that production has ceased and you don’t want to pay full price for the Nexus 6, you might be interested to learn that Google has brought the Nexus 5 back. The handset has popped up in the Google Play Store where customers who might have missed their last chance to get their hands on the phone can do so now.

The options available are both the 16 and 32GB options and yes, it looks like the handsets are still subsidized. The shipping estimates are around 1-2 days as you can see in the screenshot above. Now it is unclear as to why Google decided to finally bring back the Nexus 5 even after confirming they had stopped production.

It is possible that Google might have some leftover inventory that they are trying to clear, but either way if you’re after a great Nexus handset that comes with an attractive price tag, then perhaps the Nexus 5 could be worth checking out. Head on over to the Google Play Store for the details.
