Alcatel IDOL 3 Revealed

[MWC 2015] Alcatel is normally not the most sought after name when it comes to new smartphone releases, but this does not mean that the company is not flamboyant. No sir, their past offerings have, in fact, featured some brightly colored handsets – and the new Alcatel IDOL 3 happens to come packed with best-in-class components as well as software – or so they claim.

With the Alcatel IDOL 3, you will be able to find a pair of front-facing speakers and Clari-Fi technology from JBL Audio, while at the back lies a 13MP camera. Not only that, what is deemed to be a true, blue IDOL 3 exclusive feature would be its 100% reversible ability, which means users can simply hold their handset upside down, and the IDOL 3 user interface will make automatic adjustments to suit you.

Right in front lies a wide (84°) viewing angle shooter that is perfect for selfies – and wefies, too, while Fast Face Focus software can detect faces in a matter of just 0.26 seconds. There is also sharp HDR real-time video recording ability at 30 frames per second, while Auto Scene Detection will be able to automatically adjust contrast, exposure and colors so that oyu end up with great looking photos all the time.

Expect the Alcatel IDOL 3 to arrive in 4.7” and 5.5” sizes, where the 4.7” model will run on a quad-core CPU and HD screen; while the 5.5” sports an octa-core CPU and a full HD screen, where both of them will boast of 4G LTE connectivity to keep up with the times, running on Android L to boot.
