Moto G (2015) Could Be IPX7 Certified

moto-g-2015-mobilesyrupThe Moto G is a low-end handset from Motorola that despite its specs, has proven to be a value for money purchase. Now it seems that Motorola could be making the device even more value for money, thanks to a recent photo that the folks at Mobile Syrup managed to get their hands on.

As you can see in the photo above, it shows what appears to be a dummy unit for the upcoming Moto G (2015). As is the case with dummy units, their specs and features are prominently displayed so that customers know what they’re getting themselves into, and according to the photo, it seems that the Moto G (2015) could feature IPX7 certification.

What this means is that the phone will be water-resistant to a certain degree. This is no doubt good news for users because it is one less thing for them to worry about. This doesn’t mean you should take the phone for a swim, but just know that dropping it into some water will not result in the phone instantly frying.

Other specs “confirmed” by the dummy unit includes 4G LTE connectivity, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 2,470mAh battery, microSD card support, and a quad-core processor. Motorola has announced an event for the 28th of July where we can only assume the new phone(s) will be launched.
