Yesterday Sony confirmed the list of Xperia devices which will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, the company didn’t reveal when they’ll get the update, but at least it confirmed which of its devices will be jumping on the latest iteration of Android. Quite a few Xperia owners will get the chance to try out said update before it’s rolled out for everybody else, Sony today revealed that it needs 10,000 people to beta test Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its devices.

Sony is continuing the program it launched back in July called Sony’s Concept for Android, it allowed Xperia users to beta test software builds for Xperia devices. It says that positive reaction and feedback from the program has exceeded its expectations so now it’s launching Sony’s Concept for Android: Marshmallow.

As the name suggests this program will enable beta testers to try out the new update on their Xperia devices. It’s open to 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact users located in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany.

For full details, terms and conditions as well as to register for this program Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 owners in the aforementioned supported countries have to download the Concept Sign-Up app, it will only be available to users in these countries. Users will be selected on a first come, first served basis, so if you’re interested in this program better not waste any time in signing up.
