You might think Android since Android is the dominating operating system, but as it turns out it seems that it is none other than Apple’s iOS platform that has taken the lead, especially during Thanksgiving. According to the numbers, iOS accounted for 78.3% of all mobile e-commerce orders in the US over Thanksgiving itself. This is according to Custora’s E-Commerce Pulse (via AppleInsider) which analyzed online buyers and shopping trends.
As for Android, Google’s mobile operating system contributed about 21.5% of online orders. In terms of the bigger picture, mobile shopping accounted for 39.3% of all online sales, which is actually an increase from last year where it was only at 34.3%, so a leap of 5% speaks volumes not just about the way we shop, but how much many of us have started to turn to mobile devices as being one of our primary gadgets.
