PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 owners have long been waiting for the GoPro Channel to arrive on their preferred gaming console and yet they have been made to wait for a considerable amount of time. They will be delighted to find out today that the action cam maker has now confirmed the release of GoPro Channel for PS4 and PS3, enabling console owners to view action videos taken from GoPro cameras via their gaming machines.

The GoPro Channel has certainly taken its time to arrive on the aforementioned consoles, considering the fact that it has long been available for the Xbox, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Comcast Watchable, Sky, Vessel Entertainment, LG and Virgin America.

To make up for the delay the PlayStation does get an exclusive which includes The 66th Parallel or Iceland with Ben Brown. PS4 and PS4 owners will now be able to stream content from GoPro on demand using the app, which also allows users to browse GoPro products like cameras and accessories.

“There’s a sweet-spot of overlap between PlayStation’s super-engaged audience and the GoPro audience and we’re excited to welcome PlayStation to GoPro’s expanding OTT family,” said Jon Cohen, the director of distribution at GoPro. The release today is in line with the company’s aim to make GoPro content and programming easily accessible on any and all popular platforms that most of its customers use.
