Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Goes Through Geekbench Test

It goes without saying that the logical successors to the existing flagship smartphones from Samsung would be the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, as confirmed by a Zauba listing earlier this week. Well, it seems that there is now more evidence that will showcase the existence of the Galaxy S7 edge, as depicted by results from a Geekbench test which sees the device carry the model number SM-G935F. This is most probably the international version of the Galaxy S7 edge.

In the Geekbench test, it was revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge will feature 4GB of RAM, and that should be plenty to go around even for today when it comes to delivering a power packed performance without slowing down, in addition to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow pre-installed as the mobile operating system of choice. The Geekbench test saw a single-core score of 1363, as well as a multi-core score of 4951.

These figures do not really impress when you stack it against the results that were gathered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC, as such a chipset was seen running on a Samsung Galaxy S7, where the equivalent Geekbench test pointed to a single-core score of 2456 and a multi-core score of 5423. Still, do take these test results with a pinch of salt since it could be a prototype model or simply a device that had its clock speed limited.
