Truly Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds May Accompany iPhone 7

iPhone-6-review-18

There have been a lot of rumors about the iPhone 7 over the past few weeks even though the new handset isn’t expected to arrive before the fall. The latest suggests that Apple is developing a new pair of premium Bluetooth earphones which will debut with the iPhone 7. Apparently they are going to be truly wireless meaning that the left and right earpieces will be completely separate with no wires connecting the two.

It’s also said that this is going to be a premium accessory which won’t have a charging port, instead Apple is going to provide a special carrying case which will double as the charger and will have an integrated battery for charging on the fly.

Multiple rumors have already claimed that the iPhone 7 is going to ditch the standard 3.5mm headphone jack and users would either have to connect headphones using the Lightning port or over Bluetooth, which is why it would make sense for the company to launch Bluetooth-enabled earbuds this time around with its redesigned iPhone.

If that does happen then the EarPods that come packaged with the iPhone will get updated with a Lightning connector otherwise they won’t be compatible. The Bluetooth earbuds are expected to be sold separately, there are no estimates as yet how much this premium accessory might cost.
