Huawei P9 Lite Is Also In The Running

Huawei certainly made quite the splash today with the announcement of its two new flagship devices – the Huawei P9 as well as the Huawei P9 Plus. Underneath all of those, there is also another mid-range smartphone with a high end name uncovered – the Huawei P9 Lite, and no surprise there that it did not get much coverage at all since it is not the main attraction in the first place.

The Huawei P9 Lite will be like the vanilla Huawei P9, as it comes with a 5.2″ display at 1080p resolution alongside a pixel density of 423ppi. There will be no dual Leica camera setup on the Huawei P9 Lite in order to justify its name and price, but rather, you will have to settle for a standard 13MP main camera at the back with a single LED flash. Right in front lies an 8MP selfie shooter.

Apart from that, the Huawei P9 Lite will arrive with 2GB of RAM as well as 3GB of RAM, and the 16GB of internal memory can be further expanded up to 128GB thanks to a microSD memory card slot. A 3,000mAh battery will power the P9 Lite, and also do look out for an updated fingerprint scanner for security purposes. No idea on the kind of chipset that will arrive with the P9 Lite though, but surely there will be no Snapdragon 820 or its ilk inside!
