Earlier this year Samsung confirmed that it would launch a new soundbar which will be its first to feature Dolby’s Atmos technology. The soundbar was unveiled at the International Consumer Electronics Show 2016 back in January this year and it’s finally ready to take its place in the market. It does come with a price, though, a price for which you can buy multiple new TVs.

Samsung HW-K950 Soundbar is the first such product from the company to feature Dolby Atmos technology. It packs two Atmos-enabled wireless rear speakers that deliver a 5.1.14 channel sound to listeners.

With wireless connectivity onboard, the soundbar is capable of connecting with a subwoofer and other rear speaker units if the user has some extra lying around or wouldn’t mind adding them later on.

Samsung didn’t confirm pricing and availability details for this product when it was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2016, it has finally confirmed that crucial bit of information today.

No confirmed release date has been provided as yet, Samsung says that the HW-K950 soundbar will be released this summer, but it has confirmed that when it does arrive the soundbar is going to cost $1,499. That’s how much Samsung is selling some of its new 2016 model TVs for.
