Elder Scrolls VI Will Only Be Revealed When It’s Ready For Release

skyrim-tunesLast we heard, Bethesda confirmed that The Elder Scrolls VI was in the works, but gamers should probably not hold their breath. From what we can tell, it sounds like the game could be i the very, very early stages of development, but there’s a good chance that no actual work has been done yet as Bethesda is focusing on other games first.

Basically the company isn’t ruling out The Elder Scrolls VI just yet. That being said, gamers should also probably not expect the company to drop teaser videos and images related to the game. This is according to a recent interview with PC Gamer in which Bethesda’s VP Pete Hines said that the game will only be revealed once it is ready for release.

According to Hines, “You’re not going to be hearing first details on [Elder Scrolls 6] years before the game comes out, absolutely not. It’s not the next thing we’re doing nor the thing we’re even doing after that.” He also stated that the reason the game was even revealed to be in existence in the first place was because he was tired of being constantly asked about it.

If anything we reckon that revealing its existence just opened up a whole bunch of new questions. Either way we guess we’ll just have to wait and see when the company chooses to make the announcement. Gamers had to wait about 8 years of Fallout 4 to be realized, so given that it’s only been about 5 years since Skyrim, we guess waiting a few more years couldn’t hurt.
