Google Now Lets Users In India Order Food

If you feel hungry and don’t know what you would like to eat, chances are you will fire up Google to search for options. This is true no matter where you are in the world, and if you find yourself in India, not only will you be able to search for options using Google but you will also be able to order right from the search engine. Google is now enabling users in India to order food from search results.

Starting today when users in India search for nearby restaurants on their phone they will see an option to “Place an order” right in the search results. They just need to tap on that option and choose their preferred delivery service like Swiggy or Zomato, users will then be taken to the service’s website to complete their order.

The company is also making it easier for users to book a table when they are planning to dine out. Users in India will now be able to book a table at the restaurant they have searched for, restaurants who partner with Google for this will see their partner links being featured in the results.

Partners for the restaurant reservation feature include Bytplus and Dineout. Google is rolling out these features to all users across India and says that it will add more partners and evolve the look and feel of this feature over time.
