We all know that Apple is due to launch new iPhones next month but the company has not confirmed anything yet. However, it’s unlikely that Apple will stray from tradition and not launch new iPhones in the month of September. It’s unclear at this point in time what the iPhone 7 release date is going to be but a new report suggests that it could be September 23rd.

Multiple rumors and reports have already pegged the iPhone 7 release date on different dates in September and since Apple hasn’t confirmed it we can’t be too sure until we hear it from the proverbial horse’s mouth.

A previous report suggested that the iPhone 7 would be unveiled on September 7th and that pre-orders would open September 9th. The release date was said to be September 16th.

A purported retail schedule from AT&T has been leaked online, it calls for merchandising resets on September 9th and September 23rd, that’s basically when advertising material is put in place to inform customers that a new product is available now.

The schedule doesn’t specially mention the new iPhone but it does lineup nicely with the timeframe. Apple has previously released the iPhone between the second and third week of September so it would not be surprising if pre-orders open on September 9th and the handset is released by carriers on September 23rd.

Apple is yet to send out invites for its iPhone 7 event, expect that to happen by the end of this month.
