ZTE Wants To Crowdsource Ideas For A Smartphone

zte-axon-7-1How often have you see a smartphone launch, only to think that there was something that they could change that would make it perfect? We’re sure that there are many of you guys who have in their minds, or maybe even on paper, created the “perfect” smartphone, and now it looks like you’ll get your chance at building one.

ZTE has recently launched an initiative that they are calling Project CSX. Basically the idea here is that ZTE wants you to share your ideas on what would constitute as a perfect smartphone, and who knows, if ZTE likes your idea, it could be added to the final product, which is expected to be launched by 2017.

According to the company, “As a part of Project CSX, ZTE is committing to build a mobile product, by 2017, that is based upon your ideas and/or your votes.  We’re listening to you, and to our community, because you know best.  You don’t need some random person, in some unknown organization, to decide what’s best for you.  This is your opportunity to let your voice be heard and for you to tell us what to build.”

Now ZTE won’t be “stealing” your ideas. Ideas that the company has chosen could see its creator awarded with cash prizes of up to $1,500, and maybe even get the opportunity to make a trip to the next CES in 2017. Those who are part of the community are also able to purchase the phone ahead of everyone else. If you’re interested in sharing your ideas, then head on over to Project CSX’s website for the details.
