Google’s Pixel XL Spotted On Geekbench (Again)

Earlier this month, Google’s rumored Pixel XL smartphone made an appearance on Geekbench. Now as discovered by the folks at Wccftech, the smartphone has made another appearance on the benchmarking platform, which we guess kind of confirms what we had already known from before.

Once again its listing more or less confirms that the phone packs 4GB of RAM, and an unknown Qualcomm quad-core processor clocked at 1.59GHz. Now it has been largely assumed that the Pixel phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 820, simply because the Snapdragon 820 is the de facto chipset for high-end smartphones for 2016. However more recent rumors have suggested that the phones might be powered by a Snapdragon 821 chipset instead.

Unfortunately the benchmark does not really tell us which make or model the chipset being used is, so we guess for now it’s really anyone’s guess. That being said, we should note that sometimes benchmarks can be faked, so what you see here isn’t necessarily a guarantee of what you can expect from the final version.

In any case the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are rumored to be officially announced on the 4th of October, so assuming that is true, we should be able to expect an invite from Google in the coming days/weeks.
